We talked a bit about Christmas in an earlier blog post – but now the snow has started to fall across the mountains and the season is VERY nearly here. At Ski Amis we are busily preparing for the start of the season. For those of you that have already booked your ski holiday, our resort managers have arrived in resort. They have begun setting up your catered chalet. With snow on the ground and Christmas adverts on the television it’s time to start feeling festive! In England we never get a white Christmas, so grab a bargain and head to the mountains for a Christmas ski holiday. Secure yourself some snow, mulled wine and experience the magical atmosphere.
Your Christmas Catered Chalet
We want to make your Christmas ski holiday special considering you are a long way from home! We like to get in the Christmas spirit, so don’t worry we will decorate your catered chalet with festivities. And there will be a Christmas tree! The resorts always look pretty decorated with lights, the mountains truly are magical at this time of year.
The best bit about heading to the mountains at Christmas is that when you book a catered chalet, no one has to cook OR wash up. These tasks are always a Christmas day dread. We take care of all the hard work for you. Just imagine waking up on Christmas day to the log fire burning, enjoy your full English breakfast with views of the snowy mountains. Head to the slopes for a day of skiing and when it’s time to warm up again, head back to your catered chalet. Indulge on home-made cake whilst the smell of turkey drifts from the kitchen. What could be more perfect?
Resort Fun on your Christmas Ski Holiday…
All the resorts in the Three Valleys love to join in on the Christmas spirit too. Start your Christmas ski holiday by heading into resort to find the Christmas Markets and warm up with a mulled wine or hot chocolate. You can buy a few little presents for the children if most of your presents had to stay at home. The little ones don’t need to panic because I am sure Santa will be able to find them in your catered chalet. He does know everything of course! Enjoy a magical Christmas Eve in Les Menuires, La Tania and La Plagne.
There will be torchlight descents, fireworks, and a visit from Santa! If you are staying at our Chalets de Bruyeres then you can head over to Saint Martin de Belleville. The children can have a free Christmas pony ride! On Christmas Day head to the slopes as the lifts are open as usual! But, the fun doesn’t have to end there. Try First Tracks Wednesday’s for only 15 euros and be the first ones out on the slopes in the fresh snow. Or if you are staying in our catered chalet Anniek try the snowshoes guided hike to discover the resort of Montalbert.
Yes, you heard correctly! The lifts are open throughout the festive period allowing you to ski your heart out every day of your holiday. You can even join in the fun with purchasing a fancy dress outfit. Although over the years the slopes are full of Santa’s on Christmas Day. Why not go for an elf or Rudolph, the temperature will help you with the red nose!
Catered Chalet Christmas Carvings
We know how important the food is at Christmas. We get our food sent from the UK to make sure you won’t be disappointed. After a day of skiing come back to your catered chalet to warm up with mulled wine and mince pies for your afternoon tea. In the evening, fill up on our traditional Christmas dinner, turkey and all the trimmings. Just like you would at home. Followed by Christmas pudding and coffee of course! Our normal menu applies for the rest of your Christmas Ski Holiday but I am sure you won’t mind that. We always get great feedback and there’s a few new items on there this year for you to try.
The weather is looking promising for a white Christmas this year with the snow conditions at the moment! If you’ve not booked your Christmas Ski Holiday yet, give us a call on 020 3411 5439. Book your catered chalet as discount prices!! We’ve only got a few left! Trust us, your Christmas would be magical in the mountains with Ski Amis.
